Description

Learn about the life-changing difference of sponsorship!

So you’ve started sponsoring a child with Compassion this year—yay! To thank you and tell you more about who we are and what we do, we’re inviting you to this one-of-a-kind event!

Fresh from the kitchens of Kolkata, you’ll get a crash course in curry making from Compassion Alumni Jane’ Alam Sheikh and entertainment from local comedian Matt Storer. Come along and be inspired to step up your game in the kitchen, have a good laugh, and learn about the life-changing difference of sponsorship!

EVENT INFORMATION

This is a free event, but registrations are essential.

With dinner from our curry food truck available from 5:30pm, come down early to beat the lines for some delicious food.

By Saturday 17 November

Jane' Alam Sheikh

JANE' ALAM SHEIKH // Jane' (JARN-ee) grew up in the slums of Kolkata, India where he shared two toilets and one tap with 10,000 people. After being sponsored through Compassion, Jane' became the first person in his community to go to school. After graduating from Manchester University with a Masters in Business Administration, Jane' co-founded Pursuit International.

Matt Storer

MATT STORER // Since taking out both the WA RAW Comedy and Funny Faces competition in 2014, Matt Storer has established himself as one of the country’s brightest up-and-comers. You’ll hear Matt driving you home on Thursday’s on his own 98.5 Sonshine FM segment Matt’s Mind. A regular in all of Perth’s comedy rooms, his refreshingly original and slightly unhinged comedy has earned applause across Australia and the UK.
