This online Zoom webinar is for professionals in the health and allied services sectors.

About this Event

This webinar introduces the Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016 and explores how supported decision-making and good communication can help ensure that all individuals are at the centre of decisions about their own health.

This session includes hearing from people with lived experience of disability.

It will explore;

o What the Act says about supported decision-making

o The role of a medical treatment decision maker

o The role of OPA under the Act.

This webinar is part of a project of the Office of the Public Advocate called 'Healthy Discussions: Supporting people with disability to make and communicate health decisions.'
