What is this event about?
Is being able to go out and purchase yourself some new bras and underwear beyond your current capability?
Are you feeling socially isolated?
Has COVID impacted your ability to provide the necessities in life to maintain your dignity?
Then we want to provide you with a wonderful experience. We would be delighted if you could join us on Tuesday the 24th May 2022 for an event that focuses on human connection, listening and compassion as well as assisting you with professionally fitted bras by our Bra Fitting Specialists, and we will also supply you with underwear and toiletries and morning tea. This is all complimentary.
If you are bringing your daughter to be fitted, please reserve a fitting for her.
Our Mission
Humanity is one family bound together in common destiny. Our aim is to contribute to the foundation of a new social order for disenfranchised and isolated women, and the communities in which they live in by providing a safe space for conversation. Together we can create a global society.
Covid-19 Regulations
As a charity we have strict COVID protocols and mandates in place for all our volunteers. All our volunteers have to be vaccinated to volunteer within our organisation. The same applies to our events. To attend one of our events, you will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination certificate. This is for the safety and wellbeing of all parties within our events. We also follow strict food hygiene protocols and all food is individually catered as per the requirements of QLD Health and GCCC.
Rules of Entry
If you have attended a previous event within the last three months, please be aware that priority will be made to a person who has not attended the previous event. We also reserve the right to exclude anyone entering our events that we deem intoxicated, under the influence of any substance or disruptive.
Support The Girls Australia is an Australian born charity committed to creating a platform that changes the hearts of its women, by burning away the prejudices of homelessness, enabling women to rediscover their merits, reinstate their creative capacity, exalt their dignity, enable their motives and transform their relationships between themselves and their respective community. Our aim is to provide a grassroots framework of action to empower women to escape the cycle of poverty, violence, trauma or multiple structural oppression's. Transformation of the individual and transformation of the community unfold simultaneously. Spaces are created for women from all walks of life to foster relationships with other women in the community regardless of income, creed, age, or cultural background.
Our events are open to any women, or persons that identify as a woman (and those with children). Our events are for anyone in need.
We do reserve the right to refuse entry to any person or persons that we deem could impact the well being of our "friends" or the event. If you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or not dressed appropriately we can refuse entry.
We are aware that some people have anxiety or special needs. Please let us know via Eventbrite how best we can cater to your needs. Your safety and well being is always our first priority.
Complimentary Tea and Coffee with refreshments will be served. These refreshments will be individually served in containers.

FAQs
Is this event free? Yes it is. All you need to do is reserve your fitting.
I do not have access to a printer. Do I need a printed ticket? You do not need to show your ticket at the door. We will just need the name you booked under.
Can I bring children to the event? Yes children are most certainly welcome. There is a section in the registration process where you can advise us of how many children you are bringing and their age. This is crucial to allow us to give you a positive experience and to be able to care for them.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Location: HHelensvale Library and Cultural Centre Helensvale Plaza, Corner Lindfield Road and, Sir John Overall Dr, Helensvale QLD 4212
There is plenty of car parking at the centre.
