Your research outputs form part of the compelling narrative of how you are positioned within your discipline and explaining your career journey for your fellowship application. It can be challenging to do well. This session looks at how to select your Top 10 research outputs and contextualise these to grab the assessor’s attention so that they form a cohesive compelling narrative of how your publications demonstrate your outstanding Research Opportunity and Performance Evidence.

Learning objectives

In this session, hear from a successful DECRA and Future Fellow with about how they described their research outputs and context for their successful fellowship. By the end of the session, you should be better prepared to select your Top 10 Publications and articulate your output context.

Target audience

  • Academic staff preparing applications (for) due later this year (in the next round)
  • Academic staff considering applying for a fellowship in a future round (and want to understand what is required)

This UoM ARC Fellowship Develpment Program is an internal event series is accessible for potential ARC DECRA and Future Fellowship applicants to be hosted by the University of Melbourne.

Jointly designed, developed and delivered by the University's Academic Divisions' Research Offices and MDHS Research Development.

Privacy Statement The information collected from your registration and during the seminar sessions is being collected by participating Academic Divisions within the University of Melbourne.

We will collect personal information, like your name and email address, from your registration for a seminar. Any personal information (facts or opinions that may identify you) disclosed with or without intention during a seminar may be video or audio recorded. The information provided by you will only be used by University of Melbourne staff for the purpose of administering the ARC fellowship development program and for making contact with you as required. If you opt in to the peer review buddy program we will disclose personal information provided by you to another applicant for the purpose of enabling peer review.

You may, with or without intention disclose personal information (facts or opinions that may identify you) during a seminar. Video and/or audio recordings may be used for the development of training and development tools. However, we will de-identify individuals as much as possible and practical while ensuring the recording is still of value.

We may also use the information provided by you in an aggregated form for internal reporting and benchmarking purposes and further advancing the University’s research development program. The information you provide will be protected against unauthorised access and use.

Those residing in the European Union may request to have their information withdrawn by us (data controller).
