About the Request for Proposals (RFP)
Redland City Council is seeking qualified and reliable providers to deliver Tree Management Services across SMBI, which includes Russell Island, Karragarra Island, Lamb Island, and Macleay Island.
- SMBI is one of Redland City’s fastest-growing areas.
- Around 10% of all tree work requests occur within SMBI, and demand is increasing annually.
- Council currently averages 34 reactive tree work requests per month, alongside proactive maintenance programs in conservation reserves.
Key details
- Contract term: Initial 3-year period
- Workload: Approx. 24 hours per week
- Requirements: Qualified climbing arborist, two crew members, truck and minimum 15” chipper, all necessary equipment for general tree maintenance.
- Preference: Businesses with SMBI-based equipment to ensure timely response and overcome logistical challenges.
