About this Event
Sunflowers and zinnia are bursting into colourful bloom in a pollinator feed strip that we planted alongside our cherry orchard.
Take a stroll through the blooms and pick yourself a bunch of colour to take home.
One afternoon only Saturday 16 January from 1pm.
Please book a timeslot to visit so we can avoid queues and keep it covid safe.
THE 1PM IS FULLY BOOKED, PLENTY OF TICKETS LATER IN THE AFTERNOON - TO BOOK, CLICK ON THE "SELECT A TIME" BUTTON AND SCROLL DOWN FOR LATER TIME
Ticket price will be rebated off the cost of flowers that you pick. Flowers are $1.50/stem
This is not a whole field of sunflowers but a mixed species strip planted to encourage and feed pollinator insects. During cherry picking we had lots of visitors ask if they could come back to see the flowers bloom. So we'll open for an afternoon to share the blooms, leaving plenty for the bees.
We'll also have bunches of colour for sale at the Mudgee Farmers' market on that Saturday morning.
Cherries are all finished until next summer - best time is early to mid December.
