A free documentary about World War I with never-before-seen footage to commemorate the centennial of the end of the war

About this Event

As part of the Australian war memorial; Reality in Flames; Modern Australian Art & the Second World War Tamworth Regional Gallery is thrilled to be bringing this very special film.

Acclaimed director Peter Jackson has passionately worked on a World War 1 documentary film called, THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD. The film is narrated by British survivors of the war, and is absolutely amazing in terms of the footage that was captured at the time, and more importantly, Peter’s advances in colourisation which are gripping. This film contain images of war and violence and is rate MA - for audiences over 16 years.

The film was funded by the British Government and the Imperial War Museum, and was met with critical acclaim when it debuted at the BFI London Film Festival.

The film be screened at 4pm on Sunday 15th Nov and runs for 98 mins

The film is rated MA (Strong war themes and injury detail.) Audience must be 15 years or over.
