Siobhan Owen – Singer / harpist
Born in Wales, Siobhan Owen is what you get when you combine Celtic passion and classical training. Throw in a harp and you’re given an ethereal blend of haunting melodies, ancient and new! A graduate of Elder Conservatorium, where she received a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice). Siobhan is acclaimed internationally for her unique Celtic/classical sound.
Appearing at festivals, concerts and events around Australia since she was 14, Siobhan has also performed in Europe, UK, Ireland, USA, Japan and Siberia! While in the UK, she appeared as a soloist in two episodes of BBC TV's "Songs of Praise". Now based back in Adelaide Siobhan performs at festivals, concerts, weddings and events, as well as teaching voice and harp at local schools and privately.
With a passion for languages, Siobhan includes in her repertoire songs in Welsh, Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic, Breton, Cornish and Manx. She has released four studio albums to date, including the award winning “Storybook Journey” and “Entwined” albums.
In 2017 Siobhan received the Australian Celtic Music Award for Female Artist of the Year and was proclaimed to be "one of the new ambassadors of Celtic Music" by Le Figaro newspaper, France.
