Learn how to get maximum fruit from your trees and keep them to a manageable size so you don’t need ladders to pick their fruit or prune them. Summer pruning will benefit your deciduous fruit trees in shaping younger tree as they develop, helping to reduce size, reducing or possibly eliminating winter pruning and importantly improving the health of the tree and quality of your fruit.
To share their breadth of knowledge we have passionate fruit tree grower and member of the Rare Fruit Society Chris Day ( Every Day Sustainable Living http://everydaysustainableliving.com/about/ ) and fifth generation orchardist Wes Redden, who has been helping me with fruit tree pruning for more than 20 years in my orchard here at Sophie’s Patch and at other properties.
