Event description
Celebrate 2021 with an exciting combination of works in a ‘Pop Up’ show.

About this Event

There is a selection of painting, printmaking, textiles and jewellery for all visitors to browse and enjoy.

As part of this Pepper Street is very proud to be showing ‘The Windswept Farm’ by Dorrit Black, generously provided on loan by a local resident. The Pepper Street coffee shop was named after Dorrit Black in 2001 in recognition of the important contribution made to the development of Australian modernist art, by a Magill based artist. The Pepper Street arts library book Dorrit Black by Tracey Lock-Weir will be on show for onsite viewing during this exhibition, for those who would like to read more about ‘Dorrit’ – perhaps while stopping for some morning or afternoon tea in her namesake coffee shop! Apple muffins will be on special as a fun ‘ode’ to Dorrit Black’s favourite recipe ‘Hulda’s Apple Cake’. A copy of the original recipe provided by a family member of Dorrit Black will also be on show in the coffee shop. Pictured here is a sneak peak of the artists exhibiting in the show.

Exhibition concludes on Friday 12 February 2021 at 4 pm.
