Time to dust off the Stormtrooper mask or whip out the Sonic Screwdriver, it's QVMAG's Summer of Sci-Fi Cosplay Day!

Join us on Sunday January 31st at the QVMAG Museum at Inveresk. Enjoy an action-packed day of fun, find your Cosplay tribe and win prizes for your Cosplay costumes.

Activities on the day will include:

Win: Cosplay Costume Competition, prizes for the best-created costume.

Summer of SciFi Cosplay Costume Competition

Make: Create your own Cosplay accessories from recycled material at the QVMAG Make it Place.

Perform: Participate in a Cosplay acting workshop hosted by MC Dent. Act out famous Cosplay scripts with your chance to win! Sign-up avaliable on the day.

Watch: A live screening of “The Martian” and “Interstellar” in the Auditorium.

Planetarium Premiere: Take an astronomical journey with a sneak peek of the Planetarium Premiere before it's re-opening on February 9th.

Find your Tribe: Swap and sell Cosplay costumes, accessories and memorabilia.

Eat: Food vendors will be serving up some tasty morsels.

Film Screening: The Martian

10.30-12.30pm Make it Place

Create Cosplay accessories from recycled material at the QVMAG Make it Place.

10.30-4pm Swap and sell stalls

Swap and sell Cosplay costumes, accessories and memorabilia.

11-4.30pm Planetarium Premier Taster

Take an astronomical journey with a sneak peek of the Planetarium Premiere before its official re-opening on February 9th.

11am - Secret of the Cardboard Rocket​2pm - We are Stars​3pm- Birth of Planet Earth​4pm - Dawn of the Space Age

12.30-3.30pm DJ NUFE

Spinning Sci-Fi soundtracks.

12.30pm Cosplay Costume Competition

Cosplay costume catwalk, prizes for the best-created costume. Registration required by 11am on the day to secure your spot.

1pm Film Screening: Interstellar

2pm Cosplay Skit Workshop

Hosted by the talented MC Dent, act out famous Cosplay scenes and scripts in a Cosplay skit workshop. Spot prizes on offer for best performances. Registration required by 12:30pm on the day to secure your spot.
