HURT CAMP IS BACK IN 2020 !

Off the back of our highly successful and much loved 2019 Hurt Camp, the first of its kind in Bright, we are excited to announce our next event taking place once again in the beautiful alpine township of Bright, Victoria (and surrounding areas), on Australia Day Long Weekend 2020 (January 25-26).

Once again the details of the event are kept secret... all you need to do is commit to 12-16 hours with us. Combining both indoor training & outdoor adventures, all we can say is that it will be unlike anything else. Hosted by Matt Murphy (Search4Hurt creator and Original Hurt Camp coach) and Andrew Papadopolous (ESPN Season 2 Search4Hurt star & internationally renowned coach and fitness expert), plus a team of industry leading coaches, physio's and mindset experts.

Whilst we welcome a range of fitness levels and abilities, this is not an event for beginners. Our minimum fitness requirement includes ability to squat and deadlift competently, complete a dead hang off a bar for at least 30 seconds, complete minimum 15 push ups (on toes) and run 5km in under 27min. Remember even if youre not quite at these standards yet - you've got a few months to step up the training and be at your fittest possible for the event - what a way to keep motivated over the Holiday season!

The event will take place over the Saturday and Sunday - we highly recommend you stay in the area both Saturday and Sunday night (Monday is a Public Holiday too!) to ensure you aren't travelling when fatigued, and that you can enjoy a post event celebration with your fellow attendees.

This event is not about winning - although in 2020 we will have some more individual challenges for those who really want to be competitive. Hurt Camp is about showing up, stepping up, putting yourself out of your everyday comfort zone, and pushing to find your own personal mental and physical limits, and then giving them a nudge ;)

Mindset expert Jesse Itzler tells us of the 40% rule.. which Science also backs up. It says that when our mind says we are done, you're really only 40% done. In our regular everyday life, when things start to suck, we stop. And hey thats ok. If you're even considering Hurt Camp odds are you're fit. You're probably one of the fittest people in your social circle. But where do your limits really lie? How far can you go?
