SUICIDE AWARENESS - Peninsula Health Mental Health Service Community Forum
Event Information
Description
October is Mental Health Month, and Peninsula Health Mental Health Service invites you to a community forum to discuss the serious issue of suicide and hear stories of hope and resilience.
The Frankston and Mornington Peninsula regions see some of the highest rates of suicide in the state of Victoria, but great work is being done by local organisations and individuals to change this.
We are excited to be joined on the night by a panel of speakers, who are each using their own personal experience of suicide to raise awareness, build connections, and work towards suicide prevention. Please come along to take part in this important conversation.
This is a free event, but seating is limited - please RSVP below.
Our panel of speakers:
- Shaun Gledhill, from "Change our Brains"
- Georgia Hocking, from "It's OKAY not to be OKAY"
- Kate McLoughlin, from "Roses in the Ocean"
- Mel Ryan, Family Carer Peer Worker, Peninsula Health Mental Health Service
