Sugar Republic is a truly unique experience for adults and kids alike.

It’s Australia's ‘must see’ exhibition for anyone who ever hit a sugar high, slammed a Tim Tam or jumped for joy at the sound of a Mr. Whippy van.

Opening in February 2019, we’re taking over the Sixth Floor of the iconic Myer Sydney store for a limited time.

EVENT INFORMATION

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ATTEND?

You'll need to purchase a ticket online via Eventbrite. There is a waiver at the checkout that you need to read and accept before making payment. Once this is completed you'll receive an email from Eventbrite with your tickets.

CAN I BUY TICKETS IN PERSON?

Nope - tickets are only available online.

CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY BOOKING?

Bookings are strictly non-refundable. If you are unable to attend you may be able to transfer your ticket to another session for a limited time through Eventbrite (fees apply), or transfer it to another person. Tickets purchased with gift vouchers can not be refunded or transferred. We do not support the re-selling of tickets on third party platforms. ID may be requested when you arrive.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?

Sugar Republic is aimed at grown-ups but there’s no age restriction as long as you love sugar! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and under supervision at all times. Children aged 2 and under get free entry and do not require a ticket.

HOW LONG WILL MY VISIT TAKE?

You can take your sweet time going through the exhibit, up to one hour. Some activities (including the ball pit) have time limits.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring your ticket (on your phone or a printout), your ID, your phone/camera and your sweet self.

Some of the experiences require that you remove your shoes so please wear socks or tights, as you may not be allowed to participate with bare feet.

ARE SCHOOL BOOKINGS WELCOME?

Sorry, we are not able to welcome school groups.

IS THE EVENT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

The building and rooms are almost all wheelchair accessible, but please note that some activities and rooms may not be suitable for visitors with disabilities. If you have any questions before your visit please email hello@sugarrepublic.com.au.

IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED?

Are you serious? We encourage it. Please note that selfie sticks and tripods are not permitted though. Our staff love taking photos for you, just ask.

Commercial photo shoots are strictly NOT allowed, unless by prior agreement. Please email hello@sugarrepublic.com.au to book a commercial shoot.

IS FOOD SERVED AT THE EVENT?

Sugar Republic is primarily a pop up art event and a space for taking photos (it is NOT a lolly factory or food fair!) however we do have tastings on offer for our sugar-loving visitors, including ice cream and lollies. The treats on offer vary but you will always find at least 3-4 tastings.

I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY. WILL I BE ABLE TO EAT THE TASTINGS?

Please note that our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, milk, soy and tree nuts, and all of our food samples and treats may come into contact with these. If you have any food allergies or requirements please ask our staff for assistance.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

Food and drink are not allowed in.

ARE THE INSTALLATIONS ALWAYS THE SAME?

Every Sugar Republic event is a little different, and we also change the installations at each event from time to time. If you are hoping to visit a particular feature that you’ve seen online please check with us to see if it is currently on show,

Yes indeed! We regularly host parties, corporate events and workshops. Please email events@sugarrepublic.com.au to discuss your event.
