EVENT INFORMATION

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ATTEND?

You'll need to purchase a ticket online via Eventbrite. There is a waiver at the checkout that each attendee needs to read and accept before you make payment. Once this is completed you'll receive an email from Eventbrite with your tickets.

DO I NEED TO LIST EVERYONE IN MY GROUP WHEN I BOOK?

Yes! We cannot allow entry to any guest who does not have a ticket in their name (with matching ID) so please ensure that you name everyone in your booking. If you don't know exactly who's coming, or if you have a change of plans, you can change the name on any of your tickets through Eventbrite. This must be done before you arrive.

CAN I BUY TICKETS IN PERSON?

We recommend booking online to guarantee entry, as sessions are often booked out. Limited tickets may be available at the Candyland entrance.

CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY BOOKING?

Bookings are strictly non-refundable for any reason. If you are unable to attend you may be able to transfer your ticket to another session for a limited time through Eventbrite (fees apply), or transfer it to another person. Tickets purchased with gift vouchers can not be refunded or transferred. ID will be requested when you arrive.

WHAT AGE GROUP IS IT FOR?

Sugar Republic is aimed at grown-ups but there’s no age restriction as long as you love sugar! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and under supervision at all times. Adults accompanying children will need their own ticket.

HOW LONG WILL MY VISIT TAKE?

Your ticket is valid for 1.5 hours. This includes time walking between the venues and waiting to enter. Begin your journey at any of the three venues and finish within 1.5 hours.

If you arrive late you will still need to leave within 1.5 hours from the time on your ticket.

On Friday and Saturday evenings children under 18 are not allowed in any venue after 7pm. Please ensure to finish your visit with kids before this time. We recommend booking children’s tickets no later than 5.30pm to allow yourself enough time.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring your ticket (on your phone or a printout), ID for everyone in your group, your phone/camera and your sweet self.

Some of the experiences require that you remove your shoes so please wear socks or tights, as you may not be allowed to participate with bare feet.

IS THE EVENT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

The Pacific Fair centre and Sugar Republic rooms are almost all wheelchair accessible, but please note that some activities and rooms may not be suitable for visitors with disabilities. If you have any questions before your visit please email hello@sugarrepublic.com.au.

IS THERE CONCESSIONARY AND COMPANION PRICING?

We don’t have any concessionary pricing. Holders of a Companion Card may bring a companion in at no charge (the card holder must purchase a ticket).

IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED?

Are you serious? We encourage it. Please note that selfie sticks and tripods are not permitted though.

Commercial photo shoots are strictly NOT allowed, unless by prior agreement. Please email hello@sugarrepublic.com.au to book a commercial shoot.

IS FOOD SERVED AT THE EVENT?

Sugar Republic is primarily a space for taking photos (it is NOT a lolly factory or food fair!) however we do always have sweet samples on exit for our sugar-loving visitors. Please just don't come expecting to eat a tonne of candy as that's not what we are!

I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY. WILL I BE ABLE TO EAT THE TASTINGS?

Please note that our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, milk, soy and tree nuts, and all of our food samples and treats may come into contact with these. If you have any food allergies or requirements please ask our staff for assistance.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

Food and drink are not allowed in.

ARE THE TASTINGS SUITABLE FOR VEGANS?

Vegan treats are available at some of the venues - please ask our team.

ARE THE INSTALLATIONS ALWAYS THE SAME?

Every Sugar Republic event is a little different, and we also change the installations at each event from time to time. If you are hoping to visit a particular feature that you’ve seen online please check with us to see if it is currently on show.

CAN I HOLD A PRIVATE EVENT?

Yes indeed! We regularly host parties, product launches and corporate team events. Please email hello@sugarrepublic.com.au to discuss your event.
