About this Event

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

Before you are ready to move onto the next stage of your life, it's important to start planning about what to do with your business.

This topic looks at a range of available options including selling-up, engaging someone to manage it or leaving it to a family member.

This interactive session covers reasons for sale, methods to achieve the best selling price, family transitions, taxation issues, when to start planning, how to get a business run under management and a range of other vital issues.

This topic covers

  • Understanding important succession planning issues;
  • Creating a succession plan for your business;
  • Discussing different options for the future of your business.

 This session is for people intending to move on from  their business within the next five years

The facilitator for this topic, Accumulate Perth, is a multi-award winning, progressive accounting firm providing a range of essential business services to WA small and medium business clients.

This session is presented by the SBDC, the only agency in the Western Australian Government dedicated to helping small business. In fact, we've been providing practical support to small business owners for more than 30 years.

Important booking information

You are limited to two tickets per booking (you can of course make more than one booking).

We will be emailing you with important information on how to find workshop locations and what you need to bring, if it is a face-to-face event. If you are attending an online workshop you will receive instructions and a link on how to join and important information to ensure your device is suitable. Therefore, if you are booking for more than one person, please ensure you provide each person's email address.

To book for larger groups, please contact us on 133 140.

You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the workshop starts. Even for free sessions we would appreciate you cancelling if you cannot attend so another small business owner can take your place. For paid sessions, no refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.

Additional information for online workshop sessions

Please check your computer's suitability for online workshops, including its sound quality, browser, internet bandwidth and speed and video plugins (if required) before the start of the online workshop session. Camera and microphone capabilities are recommended to interact with online workshops.

Our online workshops are run as live, interactive sessions, similar to the format of our face-to-face sessions. For this reason, there is a limited number of tickets per session so our presenters can adequately interact with, and respond to, attendees. Recordings of these live sessions are not available if you do not attend the live event time.

Additional information for face-to-face workshop sessions

No, you don't need to bring your printed ticket.

We value inclusion for clients requiring disability access and our workshops are delivered in a variety of buildings and locations. If you would like further information about accessing a particular workshop please use the contact button at the end of this page to send us your query.
