Nicki Hutley - Economics

Nicki is a highly experienced economist, a senior partner at Deloitte Access Economics, and is interested in the intersection of economy, society and environment. Her research has covered areas from housing affordability to modern slavery, climate change to gender equity, and the impact of technologies on economic structures, employment, land use, and the means of production.

Dr Simon Tucker - Virology Update

Simon was Vice President, Research of Biota Pharmaceuticals, Inc for 18 years. Biota was the originator of the first drug in the neuraminidase class of influenza antivirals and has a particularly strong background in respiratory antivirals. Prior to Biota Simon was Senior Lecturer and Head of The Gene Therapy Laboratory at the University of Glasgow, UK and before then Senior Research Investigator, Infectious Disease Research, G.D.Searle Research and Development, USA.

Tim Boyle - Research Update

Tim is an innovation and research commercialisation professional with 20 years of experience cultivating the interface of science and industry. He is an advocate for research translation for impact and economic development. He is currently Director, Innovation and Commercialisation at ANSTO and is the responsible executive and founder of the nandin Innovation Centre, a deep technology incubator and centre for entrepreneurial learning.

Lisa Andrews/John Petty - Business Update

Lisa is Co-CEO of SingularityU Australia and her vision is to make the world a better place for all. Lisa is a vital contributor to some of the world's most action taking projects, all of which use data and exponential technologies to have a major impact on solving humanity's greatest challenges.
