- Dr Gillian Vesty - 2016 Seedlings Grant Recipient: Senior lecturer in accounting at RMIT with a keen interest in sustainability. Gillian worked alongside a colleague from the University of Melbourne on her seedlings project. The project involved developing a simulation win conjunction with Oztron (specialists in pedagogical gaming simulations) that presents users with a real life business case study. The simulation is focussed around decision making and different ways sustainability should be considered in the context of real life case situations. Grants for sustainability initiatives are available to students and staff at the University and are considered on a case by case basis.
- Ben McMenamin - Founder of Greening RMIT: Ben is a chef, sustainability professional and social entrepreneur. Having been a professional chef of 10 years and graduate of the Bachelor Environmental Social Science at RMIT, Ben combines strong knowledge of food research, education and policy development with extensive hands on experience in growing and cooking sustainable food. While at university, Ben started Greening RMIT, a project dedicated to promoting sustainable food and gardening on campus.
- Ruby Chan - 2017 Green Innovators Winner: RMIT Alumni who has just completed a Master in Design, Innovation and Technology. Ruby developed Moducware, a compostable material made from corn husks. The material can be used in a variety of ways but Ruby has chosen to focus on addressing the issues associated with disposable food containers. Ruby will talk about the process of Green Innovators, her entry to the competition
