Do you need a little bit of real economics in your life? We think you can never have enough.

If you are tired of supply and demand curves, then this is the seminar for you.

Andrew Reynolds is here to give you a run down of real economics - not the stuff you are taught at university. Proponents of the Austrian School seek to understand the economy by examining the social ramifications of individual choice, an approach called methodological individualism.

We will cover topics such as economic calculation (or why socialism is doomed to fail) and the subjective theory of value. Trust us - it's a lot more exciting than it sounds!

About the speaker:

Andrew is a qualified CPA working as an independent accounting and finance consultant, mainly in the not-for-profit sector in Perth.

He was previously a lecturer in accounting and finance at Curtin University, an auditor and risk advisory professional with KPMG and started his career with seven years in the DPP in Perth investigating financial fraud and then an extended period with international banks in the UK.

He has an extensive background in risk and treasury functions in both banking and other commercial organisations. He has maintained a strong interest in monetary economics and is a frequent contributor to publications such as LibertyWorks and free-market based blogs and sites.
