Event description

Description

The Research Development Team is pleased to invite UWA researchers from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering, Maths and Computer Science to participate in a new Structured Application Scheme (SAS) that will provide a phased approach to the development and drafting of Discovery and DECRA applications.

This scheme aims to minimise the cognitive and psychological load of the application process, and ensure that you have a strong conceptual and scientific foundation before a proposal is written. It is grounded in five key elements:

  1. Application documents
  2. Application templates
  3. Successful exemplars
  4. Workshops
  5. Process support documents

Academics can choose to participate in the full process or take an a la carte approach.

As an enrolled registrant you will be guided by your Faculty Research Development Adviser through the process provided with regular reminders, and asked to produce work against agreed-to milestones. As an a la carte participant, you can utilise any element of the scheme you wish.

Come along on the 20th of November to learn more about the SAS program and to register to participate in its innovative approach to proposal development. Browse the resources available on our Confluence page.

Note: Registration for the SAS program will close on 21 November. You do not have to come to the workshop to register SAS, but please indicate your interest in the program on the linked RSVP above.
