Improve SPEED and AGILITY, Increase overall STRENGTH, STAMINA, and FLEXIBILITY, PREVENT INJURY and develop TECHNIQUE

Get your kids down to the studio for Term 4 Strength and Conditioning!

Through exercise variety and progression, participants will take part in fun and engaging programs and see results in their training sessions, whilst playing sport and in the performance of everyday activities.

They will make new friends as they work through team challenges and discover their capabilities!

$130 for 10 weeks

WHAT WILL THE SESSIONS INVOLVE?

Running technique: Participants will learn correct body position and landing techniques for speed, efficiency and injury prevention. They will be taught how to breathe correctly and how to stretch and build the right muscle groups through corrective exercise and good bio-mechanics.
Strength & Power: They will build functional upper and lower body strength through resistance training, forming the foundations for muscular power and speed. Strength training integrated with plyometric training will develop explosive power, resulting in gains such as height in the vertical jump.

Agility: Sessions will involve team and individual drills focusing on change of direction with minimal deceleration, improving speed, coordination and reaction time. Agility training will improve their ability to switch between forward, backward, lateral and vertical movements at a fast pace.

Aerobic and Anaerobic Capacity: Various training techniques and methods will be incorporated into conditioning sessions to increase the anaerobic fitness of participants, allowing them to repeatedly generate momentum after frequent stop, starts. They will also undertake endurance training to improve aerobic capacity, strengthening the cardiovascular system and ensuring they can maintain endurance during continuous exercise.

Core: Participants will develop strong core muscles for improved balance and stability. Strength training for the core muscles will assist them with body control, help maintain correct spinal alignment and decrease the potential for injury.

Flexibility and Stretching: Flexibility and stretching is included in strength and conditioning sessions ensuring participants maintain optimal mobility of joints for efficient movement and force, and to limit restriction of movement as a result of tight muscles.
