Event description

Description

Join us in Featherstone Hall for a breakfast of pastries, fresh fruit, juice and coffee and hear from past Strathcona student Rachel Fetherston (09).

Rachel completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Literary Studies and Zoology and now works at Wild Melbourne where her wildlife interests lie primarily in the fields of evolution and natural history. Her Honours research focused on ecocritical writing and the importance of speculative fiction in broadening our understanding of present-day environmental issues. Her favourite Australian fauna include a variety of macropods, birds and reptiles. She is also interested in the culture and history of Melbourne and Victoria, in particular the history of Victoria's strong connection to its natural environment.
