Description

In this Safe Work Month presentation, beyondblue will discuss the importance of taking an integrated approach to mental health in the workplace; setting out four practical steps to help develop a mental health strategy.

This presentation will also highlight the resources available through the Heads Up initiative (www.headsup.org.au); information to guide your journey to creating a more mentally healthy workplace.

About the presenter

beyondblue is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related disorders in Australia. beyondblue works in partnership with health services, schools, workplaces, universities, media and community organisations, as well as people living with depression, to bring together their expertise around depression.

The presentation will be delivered by Rob Heaslip of beyondblue's Workplace Engagement Managers. Rob is responsible for leading a range of stakeholder engagement activities associated with the beyondblue Police and Emergency Services (PES) Program, with a particular focus on building relationships with police and emergency services employers to create mentally healthy workplaces.

Prior to this role Rob has over 20 years’ experience in various operational and management positions with Ambulance Victoria, from many years responding on the frontline as a paramedic through to various leadership roles, most recently as A/Group Manager in both regional and metropolitan areas.
