You are invited to the Strategic Management Capstone group presentations to be delivered on Wed the 6th of December 2017 6pm to 9.30pm.

The Torrens University Australian MBA program culminates with students taking the Strategic Management Capstone course. Here they are encouraged to develop a strategic mindset by drawing on their knowledge and skills gained from their other MBA courses. In each class session they analyse case studies that relate to a wide range of management theories.

This trimester the class in Adelaide was divided into five groups. For their group assignment they have been presented with a recently written case study on the iconic brand, Haigh’s Chocolates. Each group is required to report on an hypothetical scenario. These are;

  • Maintaining the company’s sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Launching the brand in China, SE Asia and Columbia.
  • Globalizing the brand with an IPO.

At the presentation session, the groups with present on their findings to an hypothetical board, including our Vice Chancellor, Professor Justin Beilby and the Managing Director of Century Manufacturing, David Heaslip.

This event is an ideal opportunity for prospective MBA enrolees and current students to witness the standards that our MBA candidates reach, and for alumni to re-connect.
