We are so thrilled to be able to have families back in the library for Storytime! We will be running weekly Storytime sessions at Northcote and Preston libraries from the beginning of March. Suitable for children aged 2–5 years.

The safety of our community and staff is our highest priority, so we’ve made some changes to the way Storytime works:

• To ensure social distancing is observed, we are limiting Storytime to ten families per session.

• It’s essential that you make a booking to attend and we also ask that you let us know ahead of time if you have booked and then can’t make it.

• Our Storytime will begin at 10.15am, but we ask that you arrive at 10.00am to ensure you have plenty of time to check in and get settled.

• For now, Storytime will be held at our two largest branches where we can provide enough space for families to social distance, and Rhyme Time will continue to be online only.

We know families come in all shapes and sizes. To deliver our Storytime sessions safely and observe social distancing requirements, your family booking allows you to bring one adult and up to three children. To bring additional family members, please make an additional booking.

For those that can’t make it into our libraries, we will continue to post  Stay-at-home Storytime and Rhyme Time Online  sessions to our Facebook page once a week. New Storytime sessions will be added to our Eventbrite page weekly.
