About this Event

You’ve developed a strategy, but does it get traction?

Do your people get it? Or care about it?

Can they act on it? Or innovate around it?

Working with Executives and Strategy Directors, we often see a gap emerge as great ideas are not fully embraced or acted upon by their people. How do you avoid this and make sure your strategy sticks?

Join us for a 1-hour practical webinar based on our Story-Powered Strategy® program.

You will learn practical tools to:

  • Turn your strategy into a narrative that connects
  • Make it relevant so that different audiences can act on it
  • Surface stories and examples that bring your strategy to life
  • Deal with scepticism or apathy towards the strategy
  • Make it personally meaningful—from the CEO to the front line
  • Adapt your story and share progress as it unfolds

This will only be open to leaders and Strategy Directors to ensure it is a focused session. Through the use of video, examples, and practical activities, the session will be highly engaging and use actual scenarios.

About Story-Powered Strategy

Our Story-Powered Strategy program is where we help you craft and embed your strategy story so that everyone is on the same page and your strategy sticks.

It could be your corporate strategy, your change or transformation strategy, your merger strategy, even one of your business line strategies—anything that involves major change. And we offer both face-to-face and online delivery.

Your Presenter

Paul Ichilcik is one of our Anecdote Principals. He is an expert facilitator and story consultant. In a past life, Paul was a management consultant but grew frustrated that great ideas rarely inspired the action they deserved. So, more recently he’s worked in communications roles for Amazon, Microsoft, and a top brand agency. Paul has led hundreds of strategy narrative workshops and consulted to C-level executives across the globe. He’s focused on practical storytelling that compels change, helps leaders connect, and brings a strategy to life. Paul splits his time between Seattle, WA and Sydney, Australia.

We’re focused on practical storytelling—providing straightforward tools and structures that help leaders share ideas in an authentic way, rather than relying on corporate speak. To understand more about our approaches and company, click here.

We helped Allianz craft their strategy story and then helped their leaders to share it.

I have had a couple of experiences working with the team from Anecdote. They have a unique skill and passion in helping bring our strategy to life. The process ensured not only that our strategy "stood up" but it had colour, life and personality. All our leaders were involved and engaged and not only thoroughly enjoyed it but are better story tellers for the experience"

—David Hosking, Chief General Manager, Broker and Agency, Allianz

We helped Ricoh communicate a major transformation in response to competitive forces.

Anecdote helped Ricoh build its strategy story and story skills for our leaders and sellers, and the impact has been outstanding. Everyday I’m hearing stories now, in internal transformation meetings and in customer presentations. It’s having an impact in helping Ricoh achieve strategic coherence. We are going through massive disruption and transformation, yet we remain aligned from the top to the bottom. Managers understanding and intentionally using the power of storytelling is a big part of that, whether planning events or in everyday team level operational activity. —Andy Berry, CEO
