Story-Fest's Festival Hub is back for 2018.

An action-packed weekend of performances, workshops & talks.

The Festival Hub occupies different spaces which are a maximum 10 mintue walk from each other - please keep this in mind when booking adjacent events.

Access to the venue, BAY 43 is outside the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Circular Quay West. Please look for the Story-Fest '18 signage to further direct you towards BAY 43.

On the subject of Telling African Diaspora Stories, 2016 APS National Champion Arielle Cottingham will be doing a poetry performance with SECRET GUESTS.

The Women of Melbourne Spoken Word work to unravel and outlive oppressive stories and systems. An intimate and evocative work with six spoken word artists.

Explore the possibilities of spoken-word poetry as an innovative form drawing on oral traditions, with Sarah Temporal.

Deborah Emmanuel debuts her solo show about cultural ambiguity, citizenship, womanhood and the many states of belonging we can experience as human beings.


A Chat with Kaie Kellough | 6.30-7.30pm [talk] | $15/$11 | BAY 43, 10 Circular Quay West

Canadian poet Kaie Kellough is a brave sound scientist. He investigates and deconstructs language, breathing life into stories of the Afro-Caribean diaspora. Kaie is chatting with Spanish-Australian audio story-teller Belinda Lopez.

Performing writers from every region of NSW will seize the microphone and electrify the audience.
From Byron to Albury, Blacktown to Kempsey, the voice of a state comes to life in one poetry packed night.

Kaie Kellough looks at the sounds within words. He finds harmonies and melodic worlds embedded in verbs and extended vowels. Kaie's work is like nothing you've ever heard.
