Event Information
Description
Visit Stockport Astronomical Observatory to do some astronomy and see planets, stars, galaxies and the Moon through telescopes (weather permitting). A slide show, sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
Stockport Observatory is located in the small town of Stockport (6kms north-east of Hamley Bridge) approximately 80kms north of Adelaide. It provides a convenient astronomical facility away from the light pollution which surrounds Adelaide.
Visit https://www.assa.org.au/stockport for more information and driving directions.
Note that if the weather looks doubtful, we may run an alternative programme (e.g. observatory tour and presentation) however the event will not be cancelled.
