Event description

Description

Expand your still life shooting, printing and archiving skills in this hands-on workshop drawing on the fascinating Capturing Nature exhibition.

Begin with a 30-minute exhibition tour and behind-the-scenes view of the Australian Museum photographic studio, then settle in with an experienced photographer and educator to learn how to maximise your equipment and improve your technique.

Enjoy in-depth demonstrations utilising creative camera techniques, off-camera flash lighting and various manual functions. This introduction to effective storage, archiving practices for digital imagery and printing methods includes a take home print of your photographic masterpiece.

Please bring your own DSLR or mirrorless camera with standard flash hotshoe along on the day, to put your new skills to the test in a series of still life and tableau shoots.

Time:
2.00pm-4:30pm
Ages: 13+
Cost: $48 Members, $60 General Public, $54 Concession
