Event description

Description

Two energetic young performers Michael Yore and Myles Waddell, portray different forms of bullying - in the playground, in the street and at home. The hard hitting narrative is punctuated with circus skills to demonstrate co-operation and the use of control through breath, focus and channelling energy into positive pursuits. This award winning show shines a spotlight on negative patterns of behaviour and bullying. Various scenarios like invading people’s personal space, homophobic and racist remarks, domestic violence and intimidation are used to explore empathy and understanding. Michael had been performing in theatre and screen passionately for many years now. He's toured schools with companies such as Brainstorm Productions and Echelon Productions and recently performed as the Head Chief Rabbit in Australian Shakespeare Company's production of Wind In The Willows. Myles is originally from Toowoomba, Queensland and completed his actor training at the University of Southern Queensland before moving to Sydney to pursue his dream. This is theatre that can make a profound difference to people's lives, providing strategies for conflict resolution, anger management, assertiveness, and breaking the cycle of violence, through performance. Please note, this is for 11 to 16 year olds and is not appropriate for K to 6 years, families welcome. All tickets $5.

WINNER of an Australian Violence Prevention Award. Seen and enjoyed by over 1.75 million people.
