Event description
Part of the ANU College of Law's 2020 HDR Training Program, presented by Research Skills & Training

About this Event

All workshops will be held in the Phillipa Weeks Library, ANU Law School, on the last Friday of the month from 11am (immediately preceding the HDR Lunch). Remote access via Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Why do so many HDR students struggle to finish their PhD on time, and why is it so hard to maintain momentum throughout the project? In this workshop we explore why standard ‘waterfall’ approaches to delivering a project don’t work for research and offer an alternative approach to project management. We also consider how you can renew your enthusiasm for your project and stay motivated during the middle stages when so many candidates start to run out of steam.
