Debbie Robinson – General Counsel, Sunsuper


Pam McAlister – Ombudsman, Australian Financial Complaints Authority

Pam is currently an Ombudsman in the Superannuation, Advice, Investments & Life Insurance team at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. She is an experienced financial services lawyer and governance specialist, with particular expertise in superannuation law and practice, trust law and regulation

Pam's past roles include senior governance consultant with Mercer, specialist superannuation partner at Hall & Wilcox, Greenfields and Freehills, Group Executive - Governance at Australian Unity and Deputy Executive Director at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission. She was a part-time member of the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT) and is currently a member of the SCT's Advisory Board.

Pam has also chaired the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council of Australia, been general editor of the Australian Superannuation Law Bulletin, lectured in superannuation, trusts and administrative law for several tertiary institutions and been a director on trustee boards and committees for a number of superannuation funds.

FAQs


Can I pay via EFT or cheque?
Unfortunately, no, STEP Queensland is only able to receive credit card payments through the EventBrite system. EventBrite will send you a receipt and ticket when you register. Please consider this your invoice.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we will have your details on file and your name badge ready for collection.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Unfortunately your ticket cannot be transferred to another member.

I RSVP'd that I would attend in person but something has come up - can I attend remotely?
Yes, information about to attend remotely will be sent the day prior to the seminar to all registered attendees.

Will the materials be sent around in advance?
If the speaker provides the materials in advance they will be circulated the day prior to the seminar.

I have a season ticket, do I need to RSVP?
It would be appreciated if you did RSVP if you intend to attend in person. This assists with accurate numbers for catering. As a season ticket holder you will always recieve the recording of the seminar after the event and you are always welcome to attend remotely.
