STEM TPL Morning for Primary and Early Learning Teachers
Event Information
Description
Join Fizzics Founder, Ben Newsome, and Education Director, Holly Kershaw, for a morning of hands-on science professional learning (no powerpoint presentations here, we promise!).
We'll spend the morning looking at the scientific method and the engineering process and how it can be taught with experiments that use simple materials that can be sourced from the supermarket or hardware store. We'll look at how experiments and challenges can be adapted for different stages, as well as how interactive science experiments can be incorporated into the New K-6 Science and Technology Syllabus.
- Morning tea will be provided.
- Includes a heap of STEM support ideas & lesson plans
- This can be counted toward Teacher Identified Professional Development hours.
"Very engaging & so many ideas! Interactive, fun, relevant & allowed us to work on our current units & how it relates to STEM. The ideation session showed the power of collaboration. Very well presented – fabulous!"
