STEM Innovation Program - Space Explorer

About this Event

In this immersive STEM workshop participants will learn about the challenges of Space Exploration and the future of Space Travel.

The participants will use their new skills in 3D design and coding to design a Space Station and use Augmented Reality as an evaluation and collaboration tool.

All programs are developed by teachers and are aligned with the Achievement Standards of the Australian Curriculum for Digital Technologies and Design and Technology.

At Split Spaces, this content is delivered by volunteer Industry Experts, passionate educators to form links between our schools, local industry and University.

This project is made possible through funding from the Local Buying Foundation.

FAQ's

Q - As the parent, do I need to stay with my child during the workshop?

A - Not if your child is ok with your leaving and has responsible behaviour. You will be required to sign in and sign out your child.

Q - Do I need to buy a ticket as the adult or just for the participant?

A - Just for the participants.

Q - Does my child require a laptop to participate?

A - If you have a laptop to bring, then please do so. We have 8 computers available for use by those who do not have a device to use. If you byo, please have chrome browser installed.

Q - Will my child be given any refreshments during the workshop?

A - No, Split Spaces will not provide food or drink for your participant. We encourage you to pack a snack and a water bottle for your child. Water is accessible for the participants if required.
