Do you have a budding film maker eager to showcase their amazing talents on screen?
About this event
The art of storytelling is changing dramatically. As children embrace technology, their unique creativity can now be harnessed using a range of stop motion software; developing technical and digital skills as well as optimizing their ability to tell their own stories and bring their imagination, literally, to life.
In this six-week program, children will learn to brainstorm ideas to develop a short 1-2 minute film through the science of story boarding and characterisation, set design and modelling and through familiarity with the fundamentals of stop motion animation.
Using art, claymation and LEGO animation, and tips for great filming, we will take children through the creative process so they can showcase their own short animated film.
Families are invited to attend the final session for the special screening. Pizza included!
Note, participants are expected to attend all sessions over 6 weeks.
For ages 8-12yrs.
Dates: Tuesdays 24, 31 May & 7, 14, 21, 28 June.
NB. Kids to bring their own iPhone , iPad or any android device that can load up the app and a device stand/tripod.
Please ensure Stop Motion Studio is uploaded onto your device prior to arrival and parental controls are removed for the sessions.
It is recommended that participants download the full version of Stop Motion Studio.
