Description

For teachers of K-6. Learn how to teach STEM, aligning with the new 2019 Science and Technology Curriculum.

About the course

The new NSW Science and Technology K-6 Curriculum has been implemented this year. Understand the differences between Digital Technologies and ICT Capabilities and learn about the new curriculum.

Learn strategies to incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and integrate them into your teaching with engaging lesson ideas and resources for authentic learning experiences using technology, creative thinking, design thinking and problem-solving.

This workshop is hands on, with time to use and explore resources in a supportive environment. Explore coding, Sphero Bolts, MaKey MaKey, Micro:bit and more.

Teachers should bring an iPad (and an optional laptop).

What should I bring to the event?

iPad preferably with the most recent IOS update and the suggested apps and a laptop (optional).

What apps will I need?

You will be sent an email prior to the course with a list of suggested apps that will be used on the day, most of which will be FREE apps.

There are no refunds for tickets, but a ticket for a subsequent course will be offered.
