Description

Dr Annemaree Bickerton (Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatrist) and Toni Garretty (Team/Clinical Coordinator) Family and Carer Mental Health Program-Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District present: “Staying Connected When Emotions Run High”, a free and interactive workshop for families, carers and friends.


This workshop is suitable for parents, spouses, grandparents, foster carers, friends, young carers (over 16 years old if accompanied by an adult), and others who support someone (between 12yrs – 100yrs) experiencing any of the following issues:

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Changing emotions and strong, overwhelming feelings that can make communication difficult
  • Behaviour that sometimes means they are a danger to themselves, or others


This workshop is based on the highly successful intervention for families and carers, and is proudly hosted by the UnitingRecovery Family and Carers Mental Health program. Please note that a diagnosis is not important as they key strategies should be helpful for all attendees.
