Event Details

This is the registration page for Statistics for the Sciences 101 – How to analyse your data, run by the Sydney Informatics Hub.

Do you have data to be analysed but you don’t know where to start? You are getting errors before you even get to the desired analysis?

Many introductory statistics courses use ‘clean’ data sets and teach statistical analysis in isolation, yet real-world data usually requires substantial preparation and exploratory analysis before the desired inferential analysis can be conducted.

This workshop is designed to cover the basic steps of how to go about your data analysis in a systematic way and covers:

  • Data cleaning
  • Data re-structuring
  • Exploratory Data Analysis - what to plot, what to tabulate and what to look for

Thanks,

Sydney Informatics Hub.
