In this hands-on workshop, using health related datasets, participants will learn how create several types of graphs and how to change their appearance. This course will focus on how to use Stata to
• Create scatter plots, histograms, and line graphs to display means and confidence intervals
• Change to the appearance of the graph by adding titles, changing markers, altering axes and markers.
• Create multiple graphs in different panels.
• Name and save graphs.
Throughout the morning there will be time to practice learned techniques and to ask questions. There will also be the option of progressing at your pace.
Participants are required to bring their own laptop to the workshop. If you do not have Stata (version 16 or 17) installed on your laptop please indicate when you enrol in the workshop, and we will provide you with a temporary Stata 17 license. Participants can use Stata on demand if they are familiar with accessing the package and are able to resolve any issues with its use on their laptop.
