STAT Exam Important information:

STAT is a two-hour aptitude test that assists applicants in demonstrating their potential for tertiary study and helps tertiary institutions in making their selection decisions.

To ensure sitting the STAT will benefit your application it is recomended you contact the institution you are applying to or QTAC on 1300 467 822 before booking a STAT exam.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements to enter the exam?

If you do not present identification as specified below you will not be admitted to the exam sitting.

You are required to bring:

Photo identification such as passport, an Australian driver's licence or photographic proof of age card. The identification document must be current and contain your name, date of birth, a recent photograph and your signature.

What can I bring to the exam?

2B pencils, Eraser, Sharpener and Water bottle

How many times can I sit the STAT exam?

You can only sit the test once per STAT year. The current STAT year is 1 June 2016 to 14 April 2017

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

If you have booked and paid for your STAT sitting but now wish to sit at another venue or different time, you'll need to pay a Change of STAT Fee ($43) .You can change your STAT by calling QTAC on 1300 467 822.

Failure to attend a STAT examination?

If a person cannot attend a STAT examination due to medical reasons including requiring to care for someone, and a doctors certificate is provided within 5 business days after the date of the STAT examination, QTAC will offer an alternative date for the person to attend and will not charge any additional fees (including if the new date occurs after a fee increase).

Daily Offers and STAT examination?

Gaining a QTAC offer before the sitting of a nominated STAT examination does not automatically entitle the applicant to a refund. It is the applicants’ responsibility to ensure that the STAT test is required.
