No other whisky experience is like this, in the heart of Melbourne. We’ll take you through all our process from mash, ferment and distil and of course – our barrel policy and how we age our whisky.

Each whisky has the Starward stamp from our wine barrel maturation, yet each whisky differs and offers something new. We’re here to show you just how versatile our whiskies can be. From single malt to double grain, American or French oak influences or approachability and complexity.

Following the tour, you’ll join us for a tasting masterclass which will give you the most in depth experience to taste our portfolio. From our core range, which takes you on a journey into our distinctive Australian spirit and the possibilities for New World whisky, through to our extended range, where our distillers really let their creativity flow and houses our experiments, trials and most interesting barrels. You’ll taste the likes of Nova, Solera, Fortis, 2 special yet different barrel samples, plus a limited project.

As a bona fide distillery speciality, you'll be able to buy any of our whiskies with discount of 10% off.

Please note:

* Make sure you wear closed-toed shoes; it's a must to access our working distillery floor because of health and safety regulations.

* We need a working days’ notice if you want to change your tour time - we are not able to accept phone calls on the day. Please instead email events@starward.com.au

* Due to COVID safety regulations we ask that all guests bring and wear a mask, stay 1.5metres apart at all times and sanitise their hands-on entry.

FAQs

Is there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the distillery and tour?

You can take the tour at any age, BUT if you're under 18s strictly no tasting and you must be accompanied by a guardian.

What are my transport/parking options for the Starward distillery?

There's ample street parking outside the venue. Otherwise, it's just a 10-minute tram and short walk from the CBD.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Think of the trees, we don't need a hard copy of your ticket :)

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Tickets don't have to have your name on them. Just let us know any changes prior at events@starward.com.au from the original booking account!
