Join us for this practical two-day Mental Health First Aid course (9am- 3pm) which will equip you with the knowledge and skills to recognise, understand, and respond to signs of common mental health problems.

This essential mental health training is designed for workplaces, community groups, and individuals who want to feel confident in providing initial support and guiding someone towards the right professional help.


Who is this course for?

The Standard Mental Health First Aid course is for anyone who would like to learn simple, practical first aid skills for helping a family member, friend, co-worker or other person who is experiencing mental health challenegs. Whether it’s for personal knowledge or professional development, this mental health training is valuable for anyone who wants to make a positive difference.


What You’ll Learn

Through this mental health training, you’ll gain skills to:

  • Recognise signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use problems.
  • Provide initial help to someone experiencing a mental health crisis, including suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, or severe distress.
  • Use the proven ALGEE Action Plan to respond consistently and effectively.


Course information

• This is an accredited course.

• This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health challenges and professionals.

• Topics include depression, anxiety, substance use, suicidal thoughts and behaviours, and psychosis.

• On completion of post- course assessment, participants will be accredited as a Mental Health First Aider for 3 years.


Cost: $534.38 per person (includes Eventbrite Fee + GST).

Morning and afternoon tea provided. BYO lunch or purchase nearby from a variety of great cafes within walking distance.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 5 business days before the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 5 business days of the event will be charged 50% of the price. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur a 100% charge
