Event description
Employment, Training, Home, Social, Leisure, and Lifestyle - a post-school options expo for people with disabilities and their allies.

About this event

Read right to the end!

Gold Coast Fresh Futures Market is a high-energy event for people with disabilities to browse and find out about supports and access to employment, education, and lifestyle options for when they have finished their schooling.

We are looking for the best that the Gold Coast and surrounding areas have to offer and invite you to showcase your post-school options and connect with your future students, future employees, and future customers.

What exhibitors are we looking for?

Can you inspire and share information about...

  • Employment and Self Employment
  • Industry and Careers Information
  • Vocational Training, Tertiary Education or Volunteering
  • Leisure, Social, Sporting, Recreation, and Entertainment
  • Accommodation, Transport, Community and Independent Living
  • Financial and Legal planning
  • Disability Supports and Services

  • You are an Employer in any industry interested in promoting your employment and career opportunities to people with disabilities.

  • You are a person with a disability that would like to showcase your post-school success and inspire others. You would share your story of employment, self-employment, training, independent living, or another success in your life that you would like to share.

Who will be attending?

1000+ Students, school leavers, carers, parents, teachers, support workers, government, local businesses, and local community organisations.

Will there be entertainment and workshops?

Yes, we will have education sessions for students, parents, teachers, and supports. We will also have live entertainment all day.

Is there a theme?

Yes, a vibrant fresh futures market is positive, energetic and colourful just like the futures of the young people attending.

Exhibitors are expected to have a positive and vibrant theme in their stalls, perhaps a traditional fresh foods markets theme. Think flowers and fruit or surprise us with your creativity and flair (I have seen a space theme, and hay bales). There are prizes for the best stalls! I can't wait to see them. (It's not Halloween so please leave the lollies and sweets at the office!)

What are the costs and other contributions?

Exhibition stalls are from $300.  Sponsorship stalls from $1500. Silent sponsors from $200. Included in the price is a stall space, 2 chairs, a table and lunch (Veg and Gluten-free options will be available). ONE stall only per business. Advertising, media, tote bags sponsorship and flyers are also available to purchase. Additional inclusions and space are offered to sponsored stalls.

Each exhibitor is asked to also contribute a door prize, or contribute to the major prizes. Perhaps a gift card, an experience voucher, or another item the attendee can take home.

Each exhibitor must have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. (Exceptions only for selected showcase stalls).

Is there an Exhibitor guide?

Exhibitors who book and pay by 1 July will be included in the exhibitor guide. This includes your logo and a 50-word blurb/pitch that you complete on registration. The digital version is also promoted and shared throughout the year to schools and others who come looking for a list of services for people with disabilities. You can download past copies of the Exhibitor guide here: Sign up for GCFFM updates and a copy of past exhibitor guides.

What is a silent sponsor?

We have three stalls that have people with disabilities showcasing their success in employment, self-employment, training, or another aspect of success in post-school life. A silent sponsor makes a contribution to remunerating these people for their time. We will have a sponsors board and acknowledgment in the exhibitor's guide but you will not be attached to an individual stall or person. It is preferred that it is an altruistic philanthropic sponsorship.

Careers and Recruitment Event for Disability Supports and Services providers.

The Care and Support sector is facing a workforce supply shortage, so we will also be utilizing the event to promote careers in the community services sector. Our future workforce is also invited to come along and see what's possible. We work with schools, training providers, and employment services to use this event to inspire tomorrow's workforce. Be prepared for some career questions from curious candidates and let us know if you want to participate in a recruitment event.

Covid-Safe, Terms and Conditions

Yes, we will have a Covid plan for a Covid-Safe event. Registration on entry and scheduled school visits will help to track and trace attendees if needed.

Terms and Conditions are here: Exhibitor and Sponsor Information, Terms and Conditions - to be updated please be patient.
