St Patrick's Pilgrimage 2021
Event Information
About this Event
Come join Archbishop Julian and other young adults for a two-day pilgrimage in celebration of the feast of St Patrick. Pilgrims will be walking from Australia’s oldest continuously-used Catholic Church, St John the Evangelist in Richmond, to the iconic Church of St Patrick’s, Colebrook.
The Pilgrimage is open to all young adults from the ages of 18 -30yo. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Tasmania, this event is a great opportunity for personal growth where you are likely to be challenged both physically and spiritually. The two days will include opportunities for reflection, fellowship and prayer.
Opening with Mass at 10:00 am, we will then set-off on a 20 km walk to our campsite, to spend the night under the stars.
The second day we will continue walk another 20 km to St Patrick’s Church, Colebrook. The pilgrimage concludes with a final Mass at 4:30 pm. Pilgrims will be transported back to Richmond at 5:30 pm.
Spaces will be limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
