SSI Artist Voices: experiences of the pandemic and a desired future

Report launch and panel discussion

Free Stream

As in every country across the globe, Australia’s arts and cultural sector has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artists have lost work and creative development opportunities, with effects expected to continue long after the pandemic subsides. So what does the future hold for our artists?

Tune in and join us for a lively panel discussion about the experiences and future aspirations of culturally diverse artists in the face of a pandemic that has amplified pre-existing inequality.

We'll be launching SSI's new report ‘SSI Artist Voices: experiences of the pandemic and a desired future’, presenting the findings of a series of virtual in-depth artist roundtables facilitated by SSI.

The event will be facilitated by award-winning actor and SSI Arts & Culture Ambassador Hazem Shammas in conversation with Ayebatonye Abrakasa, Damon AMB, Shyamla Eswaran and Zainab Kadhim.

Part of UNESCO ResiliArt global movement #Resiliart #ShareCulture

Produced by SSI Arts & Culture. With thanks to the Australian National Maritime Museum for hosting the event.
