Is this my student's audition for creative arts excellence (starting year 7 2027)?

No. This is purely an 'experience' day where your student will get a taste tester of our creative arts excellence subjects.

Question 2

Can someone else sign in or sign out my child?

The parent name that you register for this event will be the person required to both drop off and pick up.  If you require another designated adult to do so we require written permission from yourself via email to (mxrya12@eq.edu.au) including their full name and relationship to your child.

Question 3

What if my student has a sibling that is dropping or picking up my year 5 student?

If a student has a sibling currently enrolled at Southport SHS, families must email written permission (mxrya12@eq.edu.au) if that sibling will be responsible for drop-off or pick-up.

If a subject is at capacity?

Accepted Answer

Each workshop is capped at 25 students (25 morning/25 afternoon).  We hope you understand that once these workshops are at capacity we will not be permitted to add any other students.  If your first choice is not available for the morning session it may be available for the afternoon session.

Question 5

What does my student need to wear

For all subjects please wear your primary school sport uniform.  This allows your students to participate freely in all workshop activities.

Where can I park?

You will need to make sure you have plenty of time to park the car in a street near the school.  No parking is available on school grounds. If you have a disability parking permit, there is accessible parking within school grounds (please contact mxrya12@eq.edu.au if this is required).

Question 7

What does my student need to bring?

A water bottle, morning tea and lunch.  Primary school students will not have access to the cafe. Music students - please bring one instrument of choice (if you have one).

How do I sign my child in and out?

Sign in and sign out is at the Creative Arts Theatre. 
 You are required to sign your child in when you drop them off and again sign them out when you pick them up.  Photo ID is required for both.  Your child will not be released until we receive this.

Subject Choices

Please choose the preferred subject your child would like to experience as your "Ticket Type".  This will be the subject that they will do for the workshop in the morning.  You will then be asked for your students second preference which will be the subject they experience in the afternoon workshop.
