SSCAFF 2017 - Satrangi 7 Colors Arts & Film Festival, is an Indian and Cross-Cultural festival of performing arts and creative arts, encouraging the participation of the whole community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity.

It will kick start on Friday, 5th May at RMIT University initiating a FILM Talk with Indigenous & Torres-strait Islanders Filmmakers, Cross-Cultural Film Discussions & Film Screenings, Fitness & Fashion workshops on 6th and Closing with Cultural Extravaganza on Sunday, 7th May.

FIRST TALK from 5.30 to 6.30 pm, Script to Screen presents:

PRESENCE OF INDIGENOUS CINEMAS IN AUSTRALIAN FILM & ARTS INDUSTRY:

- A talk about indigenous involvement in film. Is this area of society being adequately represented in film?

- Are there enough opportunities for indigenous film makers?

- Finally, in popular culture where is indigenous involvement?

- how is the involvement being shown or being voiced in film and is that involvement growing and can we do more?

The aim of this talk:

To better understand the stories and culture of those people who's land we walk on and to find out if more can be done to you promote indigenous involvement in film.

WE NEED KEYNOTE SPEAKERS & GUEST SPEAKERS FOR THE EVENING to SAY their OPNION" for upto 3 minutes.

SECOND TALK is from 6.30 t0 7.30 pm

- Contribution of Yash Chopra in Australian Arts & Film Industry

- Presence of Indian Cinemas in Australian Film & Arts Industry

- Discussing Possible Collaborations, opportunities between Australian & Indian Arts & Film Industries to Develop New Projects globally

SSCAFF incorporates the productions of all film makers, while recognizing their cast & crew and motivating them to promote the social, cultural and economic benefits of cultural diversity through their film and arts projects.

This festival also aims at strengthening Music, Film & Cultural ties of Victorian/Australian Film, Music & Arts industries with India and globally by recognizing the local talent and productions at this community platform.
