Parent Support, Professional Learning and Community Awareness

Who we are... Square Pegs Dyslexia Support and Advocacy Inc is a Tasmanian based incorporated association, established in 2013 with a vision to ensure all children in Tasmania with dyslexia and related learning differences have the opportunity to reach their potential and enjoy learning.

We strongly believe there is a need for greater understanding of dyslexia, the creation of dyslexia friendly learning environments and empowerment of young people with dyslexia in Tasmania.

Square Pegs Dyslexia Support Tasmania is overseen by a dedicated volunteer Board.

 Square Pegs objectives are to:

1. inform, empower and act as a voice for Tasmanians, particularly children with dyslexia and related learning differences and their families.

2. raise awareness within the community and Government about dyslexia and related learning differences.

3. provide practical and positive assistance to families and teachers, through workshops, printed and digital media and parent groups.

4. work with other like-minded organisations locally and nationally, to create positive change.
