Description

Celebrate Bendigo's Trees

The City of Greater Bendigo is currently developing Greening Greater Bendigo - the City's first strategy to increase tree cover across urban areas and townships of Greater Bendigo.

To celebrate and promote this important work the City has organised two free walks as part of the 2018 Spring in the Bendigo Bush program. The walks are designed to celebrate our local and introduced trees and provide residents with an informative and engaging way to contribute to the development of our Plan.

DISCOVER THE TREES OF ROSALIND PARK

Rosalind Park is often referred to as our second botanic garden. Its beautiful layout, central location and of course, its wonderful trees are a magnet for residents and visitors to the City. This free guided walk will unearth interesting and informative stories about some of the more significant trees in the Park. It will also provide an opportunity to have input into the development of the Greening Greater Bendigo strategy.

Date: Sunday October 14

Time: 10am – 11am

Meeting point: Sidney Myer Place (9.30am for a 10am start)

What you need to know: This walk is on paved paths and lawn areas within lower Rosalind Park. Please dress for the forecasted weather conditions and bring sun protection, water and a snack.

The duration of the walk is expected to be 1 hour.

Booking: Places are limited to 35 people. You must book via Eventbrite or telephone 5434 6000.
