About this event

The club will deliver multi-sport and well-being activities for children and young people with a disability aged between 5 -18 years of age.

This includes people with a learning disability, physical or sensory impairments.

Sportability Club FAQs

What is the age requirement to enter the event?

Between 5 -18 years of age.

I live outside of Cumberland area, but I would really like to attend the Sportability Club. Can I do so?

Yes, of course! No restrictions.

What is the coach to participant ratio?

The maximum ratio is 1 coach to 6 participants.

Do the coaches have the relevant qualifications?

All sports coaches have a valid Working with Children Check, Police Check, First Aid CPR and relevant sports qualifications.

Can I use my current NDIS funding to cover the Sportability Club

Yes.

Follow instructions below based on your NDIS funding:

Self-Managed - Purchase your ticket(s) through this eventbrite page and Collective Leisure will send you an invoice, within 14 days, to claim from the NDIA.

Plan Managed - Please send details of your plan manager to David at davidb@collectiveleisure.com.au and we will invoice them directly.

NDIS Managed - Please send an email to our partners Healthstin (details below) with subject line "Sportability Club" and provide dates that you'd like to book for. They will respond with questions they need to access your NDIS managed funds.

Can I use my Active Kids Voucher to join?

Yes, you can use this voucher in conjunction with NDIS funds. Here are the steps to use the voucher:

NOTE: These steps only apply if you are Self-Managed. If not then please read above.

  1. Chose a session date you want to start
  2. In Tickets choose option "General Admission - 8 weeks w/ Active Kids Voucher" which is a discounted ticket
  3. At registration provide the Active Kids voucher number for Collective Leisure to claim against

Are there any make-up sessions?

We get it, life with children and young people is unpredictable! If you are unable to attend a session, you are entitled to a ‘make-up session’ at no cost. Every participant can use 2 make-up sessions for every 8 week block.

What are the parking options like at the venue?

There is a big free cark park at the entrance of Auburn Basketball Centre.

Please be advised that by providing us with your child’s details, you agree and give consent to your child to join the Sportability Club. Collective Leisure will keep and maintain your details and your child’s details in our database.

We, Collective Leisure, will not share your/your child’s details with other organisations.
